A note from Tricia Gunn about this post:
Dear friends,
A few years ago, in 2020, I created an audio track that I entitled, “The Blessing” to encourage those who were gathering for our prayer meetings with the promises of God and assurances of blessing on our families. Do you remember what we were all going through at that time? Recently, a friend asked me to send her that audio track because of some very difficult circumstances she is navigating in her life. I found the link and sent it to her. It sparked me to listen to it again myself. Wow! I needed to hear it and receive it all over again. Shortly after, on New Years Day, 2026, one of my daughters sent our family the popular song called “The Blessing” as an encouragement to our family for the new year. I knew this was not a coincidence! As I listened to the lyrics of the song, I wrote down a few notes:
The context of the blessing in this song is God speaking to Moses and instructing him in how to instruct Aaron, the high priest, in how to bless the people. “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel.’” (Numbers 6:22-23)
This blessing was prophetic because Jesus is our heavenly Aaron. Jesus is our eternal High Priest, representing us in heaven. In Jesus, God has already given us every blessing of heaven because not only in Jesus our High Priest, He is also our spotless Lamb of God! “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32) God gave us the Best and in the Best we have the rest!
From a New Covenant perspective, we can read the blessing of the high priest as if Jesus is speaking it over us, having already taken away our sins at the cross, absorbed the curse, and finished the work for our redemption: Jesus says,
“The Lord bless you and keep you; because My face shines upon you and I am gracious to you. My countenance is upon You. I am Your peace. My name is upon you. I am your blessing. Receive Me and you will receive your blessing, purchased with My very own blood. Receive your blessing in My name.” AMEN! (from Numbers 6:24-27)
His face is already turned towards us! His face is upon us. He was thinking of us when He hung on the cross. He was looking towards us and the joy set before Him imagining us receiving everything He was purchasing for you.
All He’s asking us to do is to remember what is ours in Him. Because His face is upon us and the veil has been lifted, we can now turn our eyes upon Him. His body was broken for our health and well-being. His blood was shed for our redemption – making us perfectly righteous so that we would be in a position to receive all that He is and all that He has.
After pondering all of these things, I decided to created a video version of the audio track I created in 2020 entitled “The Blessing,” so that we could see the powerful scriptures on the screen and read along – out loud or in our hearts. This blessing was written from the perspective of our position in Jesus: we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Before the throne of grace, we are in right standing with God! Because of the cross, we are as Jesus is!
We believe the word of God, therefore we speak His word in agreement with Him. And we declare AMEN!! When we say AMEN, we are saying “I come into agreement with God that no matter how many promises He has made, they are ‘YES’ in Jesus. My AMEN is my YES to every promise given to me through the broken body and shed blood of Jesus. I receive it as my own!” (from 2 Corinthians 1:19-20)
Enjoy! Praise the Lord!

God’s protection is over your home and your family. He will continue to protect you, keep you, and sustain you. Your home and the homes of your family members, as well as all your property and your bodies are guarded by the angels of the Lord, in Jesus’s name.
Psalm 34:7 – The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.
Hebrews 12:22 – But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels…
You and your family are protected by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. May every entry way into your home and the homes of your loved ones be fortified, strengthened, and protected by the blood of the Lamb. Your home is filled with the presence of the Lord. The forces of evil will find no entry into your home.
The Lord will be a stronghold in the day of trouble for you and your family. He is and will continue to be your refuge and your strength. The Lion of the tribe of Judah will guard you from every unholy force.
I speak a blessing of peace over your home. May you experience unexplainable peace. May you find your home to be a place of rest and comfort.
I speak a blessing of joy over your household. May you be of good cheer each and every day. May you be of good cheer always because Jesus Christ has overcome the world.
I speak a blessing of restoration over your home and your family. If the enemy has stolen anything from you, may you be restored seven-fold, 100-fold, in Jesus’s name. May the Lord restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, and the consuming locust.
I speak unity over your home. Unity over your family. May your house be one where there is love and forgiveness. May you work together and in one accord in your home and in your family.
The Lord is your hiding place in all seasons, throughout the good times and the bad. I come against the negative influence of the devil. If he tries to sow strife, he will have no success, in Jesus’s name. If the devil tries to sow discord and disharmony in your home and in your family, I rebuke it in Jesus’s name. He is defeated in Jesus’s name.
May the Lord will reveal to you and lead you to remove all things that deteriorate and pollute the mind. May your home be a place where you can focus and meditate on whatever things are true, and noble, and just, and pure, and lovely, and those things that are of good report.

Psalm 84:11 – For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.
May the light of His glory clear away any form of darkness and deception from your thinking.
You walk in the righteousness of Christ and are seated in Him in the heavenly places at the right hand of God. You have all authority through Jesus, His name, His blood, and His finished work.
I speak a blessing of provision over your household and the households of your family members. You lack for nothing. God will supply every need of your according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. May you abundantly experience Jehovah Jireh, your Provider.
2 Corinthians 8:9 – For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
You are blessed in your giving and in your receiving. You are blessed in your coming in and your going out. You are blessed in the morning and blessing in the evening. You are blessed in all that you do. The Lord has poured out His Spirit upon you and it flows through every part of your life. Grace heaped upon grace.
You are blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved by the Lord. As every member of your family rises in the morning and as your household goes to bed each night, the presence of our Lord Jesus is strong and manifest in your home. In Jesus’s name, amen.
