The question we might have is “How do I get faith?” The answer is that you already have it if you are in Christ because it’s actually the faith of God in you. In Galatians 2:20 Paul said this:
“The life which I now live in the flesh I live BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)1
However, the words in the original Greek text say it like this:
“The life which I now live in the flesh I live by THE FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20, KJV)2
Switching “of” to “in” might not seem such a big deal, but actually it changes everything! When Christ lives His life through us, it means that we are living by HIS faith, not our own. Ride on His faith. If the voice comes saying to you, “Are you sure you have enough faith for this?” You say, “It’s not my faith. I live by the faith OF THE SON OF GOD.” Even if you think you don’t have faith, just rest and see His faith. He’s the faithful One. Jesus had faith that when He went to the cross for us, He removed our sin and purchased every spiritual blessing for us. Do you believe that HE believed? The answer to that question should settle the issue.
When you live by the faith OF the Son of God, the result will be rest.
