“I will remember their sins no more”.
Believer, is there a video-tape of you being prepared in heaven for judgment day which God will use as evidence to punish you for all your sins? What does the Bible say?
“‘For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.’ In that He says, ‘A new covenant,’ He has made the first obsolete.” (Hebrews 8:12-13)
Let’s read that again: “their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
Again: “I will remember no more.”
Again: “no more.”
Why? Because “I will be merciful to their unrighteousness.”
God has already “remembered” all of our sins when Jesus bore them on the cross and was punished in our place 2000 years ago. He will never remember them again. Our response is simply to believe it.
