When we know that God gave us the absolute BEST that He had, how could He withhold any good thing from us?
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us ALL things? (Romans 8:32, emphasis mine)1
In fact, through the cross every good and perfect gift, every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, is already ours to receive!2 The Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world. Can you imagine that God, before the foundation of the world, making a list of good things that He would withhold from us? It would be saying that there are good things that are of more value than Jesus Himself! What things would be of greater value than Jesus?
