But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, WHO IS THE IMAGE OF GOD, should shine on them. (2 Corinthians 3:3-4, emphasis mine)
The mystery which has been hidden for ages from generations has been revealed. God has made HIMSELF known in Christ. The greatest truth that the devil wants to blind the world to is that Jesus came to manifest the goodness and heart of the Father to us. The glory of Jesus reveals the nature of the Father. The adversary does not want people to know that Jesus is the very image of the Father. The enemy wants us to see God as an angry and mean judge. But what is the truth?
And He [Jesus] is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature. (Hebrews 1:3, NASB, brackets mine)1
[Jesus] went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. (Acts 10:38)2
As many as touched Him were made whole. (Mark 6:56, KJV)3
Not just those who repented.
Not just those who confessed their sins.
Not just those who were at peace with all men.
Not just those whose marriages were perfect.
Not just those who ate right food and exercised.
Not just those who obeyed their parents.
Not just those who gave the temple tax.
Not just those who behaved themselves.
The compassion and love that Jesus demonstrated when He took children in His arms, protected the woman caught in adultery, defended the woman with the alabaster box, healed the man with the withered hand, and calmed the storm is the same compassion and love that the Father has for us today!!
