In much of Christianity today we see the “ministry of condemnation” having glory. The wrath of God is preached and people come running to the altar out of utter fear. People are threatened with the terror of hell instead of pursued with the love of God as demonstrated in that while we were yet sinners Jesus died for us.
On the other hand, Paul said,
“…the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.” (2 Corinthians 3:9)1
Today the “ministry of righteousness” far exceeds the “ministry of condemnation” in glory. Now across the whole world eyes are being enlightened to this glorious Gospel of grace. The coming revival of God’s “abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness” will be like nothing we have ever witnessed. The “ministry of righteousness” is the “ministry of the Spirit” who guides us into the truth that we are sons of God like our Elder Brother, Jesus Christ! When we have a revelation of that truth, nothing will be impossible for us and the church will rise up to be who she is called to be!
