The Letter Kills, The Spirit Gives Life

Paul referred to the Old Testament law as the “letter that kills.” The “letter that kills” for us today is the system of religion where we serve God and work to please Him in order to earn His favor and His love. God’s desire for us is that we receive His love based on His faithfulness to us, not on our faithfulness to Him. It’s all about Jesus!
