There is one fear that is the root of all others: the fear of death – but we can be set free from it! Jesus died to destroy the one who had the power of death, and to release us from the grip of fear and a lifetime of bondage. The bondages of shame, poverty, sickness, terror, addiction, rejection – their root is the fear of death, the fear of being alienated from God. However, if you know what Jesus has done for you, you will be free from the fear of being alienated from God because you will be free of condemnation!
“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.” (Romans 8:1-2)
