So often we hear that we need to love Jesus more, and our focus becomes doing more to show Him that we love Him. However, the apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians that they may know the love OF Christ – not the love FOR Christ. He prayed for them that they might comprehend the length, the depth, the breadth, and the height of it. The result: that they might be filled with all the fullness of God.

I pray that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:17-20) 1

In context, Paul is saying that God will give us exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think IF we know the love OF Jesus for us! Once we know and believe the love He has for us, all we have to do is think BIG, and He will exceed it! He promised!
